The metal hinge piece pictured here, was designed for use on a copy machine, it features dimensions of 1″ in length, 0.5″ in width, and welded construction. We rack plated 150 of these components with an RoHS-compliant tri-black conversion coating, which provides excellent corrosion resistance as well as an enhanced black color that maintains its appearance without chipping or degrading. Uniformly applied to within 0.00012″ – 0.0028″ thickness tolerances, the coating maintained a smooth, even appearance over the welded seam. In-house laboratory testing ensured we met the customer specifications, and we shipped the parts within 2 days along with a certificate of conformance.
