Rochester Overnight Plating's electroless nickel rack plating process has long been trusted by our customers to provide excellent protection of steel components. We plated the end cap shown here, part of a module base assembly, for a customer in the electronics industry. Working with the customer specifications and in accordance with the ASTM B773 TP4 SC1 CL1 EN standard, we applied a uniform deposit on all surfaces of the component. The high consistency and persistent adhesion of the coating enabled us to maintain thickness of 0.0002-0.0004" on all surfaces. Quality inspections verified that the coating had the required durability to withstand the condition under which the part would be used.
